The international ambitions of the Graduate Research School are based on three complementary, international doctoral opportunities.

Co-tutelle (double degree) thesis
The candidate receives two qualifications (a double degree), one from the University of Bordeaux and one from the partner university.

International co-supervision
The doctoral student is enrolled in a single institution and is supervised by two thesis directors, one from the University of Bordeaux and the other from a foreign university. The thesis directors share the scientific supervision of the doctoral student's research work.

The European doctorate label certifies students’ educational level and facilitates the recognition of study levels within Europe.
