COVID-19: Self-Testing Campaign Launch
As part of the “Test - Alert - Protect” strategy to fight the spread of Covid-19, the Ministry for Higher Education, Research and Innovation has launched an antigen self-testing campaign in higher education institutions. The University of Bordeaux is making free test kits available for its students and staff from 18 May.

What are self-tests?
COVID self-tests are antigen tests with which you can take the sample and read the result alone, via a swab inserted into the nose. The kit is valid for 5 weeks and includes one test per week.
What is their use?
They are used to screen people who do not have symptoms and who have not been in contact with an infected person. They allow the detection of COVID-19 but are only valid if they are carried out regularly, for example, once a week before coming to university for the first time. Results are available within fifteen to twenty minutes.
